Thank you for choosing Essentially Her Hair Collection! We hope you are excited about your new product. Please follow the hair care instructions below to help maintain longevity of your hair extensions.
Before Using Virgin Hair: Thoroughly inspect each piece making sure the color, texture, length and pattern are correct before installing hair. We gladly accept hair returns only if it is unused and unopened with ties still intact.
ALL HAIR TEXTURES
- Seal wefts before installing to ensure the longevity of your hair extensions.
- Hair should be treated as normal hair. Shampoo, condition and moisturize hair weekly to maintain the health and shine of your hair extensions. Make sure to brush out all tangles before you shampoo your hair. Always use a low PH high moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Follow with a leave in conditioner.
- Wrap your hair nightly with a silk scarf or bonnet. This helps to lock in moisture and eliminates unnecessary shedding/tangling. Under your scarf or bonnet your hair should be twisted or braided to prevent from matting or tangling while sleeping.
- Always comb/detangle from the ends up. Use a paddle or soft bristle brush starting from the bottom and gently work your way up. Do not tug or pull on the hair.
- Always use a heat protectant before using any kind of heat styling tools (if not used your hair can become very brittle and produce split ends/breakage and/or frizzy/dry hair).
CURLY/WAVY TEXTURES
- Detangle your hair extensions ONLY when the hair is wet.
- Detangling while it is dry can cause breakage, shedding and loss of hair.
- Detangle your curly/wavy hair EVERY morning and EVERY night before wrapping. Please follow same wrapping instructions listed above.
- Use a leave in conditioner/water mix to help keep your curls/waves moisturized.
- Always comb/detangle from the ends up.
- Use a daily curling cream with water to help with moisture, to define curls/waves and to prevent shedding/tangling/interlocking curls or waves.
